A Notary Public is a state-commissioned official who serves as an impartial witness during the signing of important documents. Their role is to verify the signer’s identity, confirm that they are signing willingly and knowingly, and complete a notarial certificate documenting the act.
In Florida, notaries are commissioned by the Governor and authorized to perform a variety of notarial acts anywhere within the state. As a Remote Online Notary (RON), I can also notarize documents for clients located anywhere in the world.
Yes, I can notarize documents in another language!
It is required that you understand the language in which your document is written. If you don’t, it must be translated into a language you do understand before your appointment.
Since I only speak English, the law requires that we be able to communicate clearly in English during the notarization. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask, and I’ll help you prepare for a smooth appointment!
Please bring a valid, government-issued photo ID, along with the document(s) you’d like notarized. Your documents should be completed before the appointment, except for any signatures or initials, which we'll complete together.
If you need witnesses and are bringing your own, they’ll also need to show valid ID.
I can print your documents for a small fee if needed, but I’m not allowed to fill them out or provide legal advice. If you’re unsure about what to bring, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help you prepare before your appointment!
Yes, I do! Last-minute appointments are available depending on my schedule and include a $20 same-day fee. If you’re in a hurry, the quickest way to reach me is by phone, so I can check availability and send you a booking link right away.
I understand life can be unpredictable, and I try to be flexible when certain situations arise. Here’s what to expect:
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. New appointments are subject to availability, but I’ll always try to accommodate your needs.
Refunds:
Once a notarization is completed, it generally can’t be refunded since the service involves a finalized legal act. However, if I make an error, I’ll correct it at no cost to you.
Late Arrivals:
If you’re running late, I’ll do my best to adjust. If another appointment follows yours, the full session time may not be available. A late fee may apply for arrivals more than five minutes past your start time.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
If something unexpected happens, like severe weather or other circumstances beyond my control, I may need to reschedule. If that ever occurs, I’ll contact you as soon as possible to make new arrangements.
Yes! Florida law allows for alternative signing methods when someone isn’t able to sign in the usual way.
You can sign with a mark (like an “X”) if:
You’re unable to write a full signature, and
Two disinterested witnesses are present.
If you’re unable to sign or make a mark at all, I can sign your name at your direction (verbally, in writing, or by other means), as long as two disinterested witnesses are there.
Mobile Notary
Absolutely! I offer mobile notarization services at hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, and other care locations. My regular travel fees apply, but there’s no extra charge for signers in medical or long-term care settings.
Remote Online Notarization (RON) FAQs
You can join your online notarization session using a phone, tablet, or computer. Any device with a camera, a microphone, and a stable internet connection will work. Your camera must clearly show your face and your ID for identity verification.
All online notarizations are recorded and securely stored as required by Florida law, so your session is safe and compliant.
Yes! With Remote Online Notarization, I can notarize your documents regardless of your location. As long as I’m physically in Florida and your ID and documents meet Florida’s requirements, we can complete the notarization remotely.
I currently use OneNotary and Proof, which are state-approved platforms for secure online notarizations. If I ever use another approved platform, you’ll see the exact details in your appointment confirmation.
